Switchblade Angel --CHIBI--

It's Mhirou! (Full-view, please. And note--Mhirou doesn't actually have metal wings and a halo, I just had them for this particular picture.)

You people are gonna need some help from me on this one...it's stuffed full of whatever symbolism I thought would fit. So here's a handy little guide to everything you should need to know.

Don't spoil the fun until you've had a good look.

1.) Mhirou is one of my more depressing, lonely characters--even if she does have a temper. And she doesn't like to take help from anyone.

2.) Mhirou's theme song has been (probably alwyas will be) Stairway to Heaven. Anyone see the stairs? Yes! It's that ladder/film reel looking thing. But what's this? It's tipping...she's too violent by half, and has quite a few kills marked down. Killing people is not a good way to get into heaven..and it gets harder to climb up the more the ladder tilts. Better watch out Mhirou, or the ladder's gonna fall...

3.) Someone's taken it upon themselves to keep a weather eye on Mhirou, and they want her to damn well know it. See the spotlight? Spotlights make people get nervous. They're hoping that she'll get too nervous knowing some rather unwanted watchers are looking on, and make more mistakes. Where's the spotlight coming from...? Not heaven...

4.) My main inspiration for the picture was a line from a song by My Chemical Romance. The song is Our Lady of Sorrows, and the line is "The patron saint of switchblade fights." The first thing that people think of when saints are mentioned is an angel. And what better place for an angel to be than right next to the stairway to heaven? But Mhirou's not just any angel here...someone with a relatively un-good heart can be cast as a symbol for the rest of those not treasured by society--heavenly, but not quite.

5.) Blood and metal, the only thing involved in switchblade fights, are what makes up her wings and halo, showing her bloodstained past continuously causing her more sorrows, and the blood never seems to stop flowing, does it? You'll notice that the outermost 'feather' on the wings is a blade, where most of the blood is. Mhirou's not exactly the type to wear her heart on her sleeve. So the 'outermost' shell of her personality is just like the cold metal of her wings.

6.) Most of you wouldn't know, but Mhirou's eyes are purple. Her eyes are black here..! Eyes burned black by the visions of the fired that she may not be able to escape eventually, or perhaps burned raw by that continuous watching spotlight...

7.) Last one. See the little bandage on the halo? It's the same color as Mhirou's fur. (hard to tell, yes.) She's bound herself to the life of switchblades and constant bloodshed...maybe that's the way she likes it.
